The first part of RDR has just appeared on the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch, and it has already been compared with previous versions in the video.
The game was originally released on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. In the first case, it showed 30 frames per second at a resolution of 1152 × 640p, while it looked soapy and outright inferior in picture quality to the Xbox version. Now on Switch, the game runs at 720p and 1080p on the console itself and using the docking station, respectively. On PS4, the game runs at the same 1080p. At the same time, on both platforms, the title produces 30 frames per second.
Visually, compared to the PS3 version, it has noticeably improved due to increased saturation and image detail. Rockstar also improved the transmission of shadows and lighting. Download speeds have also improved, with the Switch version loading three times faster than the PlayStation 4 version.
