Euro Truck Simulator 2 will receive new system requirements
For a comfortable gaming experience, gamers should think about expanding RAM and purchasing an SSD drive.

Fans of ETS 2 and American Truck Simulator have discovered that the system requirements for running the games will be updated. The changes will affect video cards, processors, RAM, and storage devices.

According to the developers' recommendations, it would be better to run simulators on SSD storage. The amount of RAM will also increase - at least 8 GB from the previous 4 GB.

Both truck driver simulators have been out for a long time: ETS 2 has been available since 2012, and ATS since 2016. Therefore, technology has improved over so many years, which necessitates an increase in system requirements.

However, SCS Software will not forget about old fans: the simulators will have to run on legacy systems, but there is no guarantee that a stable 30 frames per second will be visible at 1080p resolution, so lower settings will have to be made.

The updated system requirements will be relevant after the release of updates 1.48.5.
