Most likely, the work of the artists is done by AI.

Ubisoft began posting suspicious art on its pages on social networks, which drew the attention of users. First, the X (ex-Twitter) Ubisoft Latam account posted an image of Ezio Auditore from Assassin's Creed 2. The art was criticized, after which it disappeared.

Next, the Ubisoft Netherlands branch was noted with a minus sign. On their page they posted an image of an assassin with pumpkins. Users again criticized the picture and Ubisoft. Complicating the situation is the fact that the company recently showed more than a thousand employees the door. It is likely that there were artists among them, which is why Ubisoft decided to use the services of neural networks to obtain images.

This is not the first time that large companies use neural networks to generate various visuals, and then get into scandals. For example, Marvel was recently criticized for using AI to create the opening credits for the Secret Invasion series.
