A reference to the original Modern Warfare 2 from 2009 was found in the new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

Easter egg discovered on the Rust map.



Players discovered a reference to the ending of 2009 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 in CoD:MW3. At the end of the story campaign, the game's protagonist Soap pulled out a knife from himself and threw it at General Shepard's eye while he was fighting Captain Price. In Modern Warfare 3, there was a skull with a knife stuck in it.




Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 became available in November for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S platforms.
