There's a new addition to the Minecraft cast: Jack Black will play one of the roles in the film adaptation

The actor will play the role of Steve, a character controlled by the gamer in the game.

The Minecraft movie is currently in the early stages of production. According to Deadline, Jack Black (“School of Rock,” “Jumanji”) has joined the cast. He will take over Steve's role, in the sandbox he is controlled by the user.



Previously, Jason Momoa (“Aquaman”), Emma Myers (“Wednesday”), Daniel Brooks (“Peacemaker”) and Sebastian Eugene Hansen (“Mozart in the Jungle”) have already joined the cast of the film adaptation.
