According to the blogger, the engineering sample of the flagship chipset maintained a stable 60 frames per second at 1080p resolution for 45 minutes of gameplay. A commercial version of the processor can show even more outstanding results. It is known that the device has an Adreno 830 graphics processor, the performance of which is 10% greater than that of the Apple M2, as proven in the 3DMark Wild Life Extreme Stress Test.
The direct competition for Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 will be the MediaTek Dimensity 9400, which, like the current version, lacks energy-efficient cores. The chipset from MediaTek should have three Prime Cortex-X5 cores and five Cortex Performance cores. It is still unknown when the flagship processors will be presented.
