GTA: San Andreas shown with and without ray tracing
The result was quite unexpected.
The author of the YouTube channel MxBenchmarkPC posted a video where he showed GTA: San Andreas with a modification for ray tracing, and then compared it with the original graphics. It is clear that FPS drops from the mod were inevitable, but the image quality was depressing: tracing significantly worsened the image in most scenes.
In regular San Andreas there is a yellowish filter that gives the picture a certain style and atmosphere. Ray tracing removes this effect and unnaturally transforms colors. Only in the room does the tracing look advantageous, however, even here you can notice updated furniture models, so this point can be ignored.
