GTA 6 will not be able to run on PlayStation 5 Pro at 60 FPS – Digital Foundry
Experts at the game technical analysis site believe that the game is unlikely to run at this frame rate due to the console's chipset.
PlayStation 5 Pro will have a relatively small performance increase compared to the regular version of the console. Therefore, the Digital Foundry editors believe that the console will not be able to run too demanding games at 60 FPS. This also applies to the future Grand Theft Auto 6. Fans of the series have already asked Rockstar Games about the possibility of supporting 60 FPS, but according to experts, this will not be possible due to the PS5 Pro processor.
According to information from authoritative insider Tom Henderson, the PS5 Pro will receive a very slight increase in chipset performance in the region of 10-15%. Given these indicators, Digital Foundry thinks that the chip will not withstand such a computing load. However, Rockstar will be able to fully exploit the potential of the console's improved graphics core to provide cool image quality with high resolution, textures, ray tracing and other visual aspects.
