Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile failed to bring the creators the desired income

According to statistics from the AppMagic portal, the multiplayer first-person shooter was able to bring Activision only $2.3 million. Compared to other projects for mobile devices (for example, with the same Genshin Impact), the indicator turned out to be extremely unsatisfactory. And even when compared with other ported parts of CoD, the result looks like a failure: at one time, Call of Duty Mobile earned $14 million in the first 14 days. The new game has been downloaded more than 20 million times. According to experts, low income is due to cross-progression (skins and fighters are saved on all platforms, so players do not need to buy content frequently).

CoD Mobile and CoD: Warzone Mobile were developed by different studios: the first was the responsibility of the Chinese company Tencent, and the new product was created by Activision’s internal studios.
