This is evidenced by the fact that Rockstar Games is looking for a senior programmer responsible for the graphics component and familiar with the DXR or NVR interfaces associated with ray tracing in games. The studio probably wants to add this technology because the project will be available on next-generation consoles PS5 and Xbox Series. Insiders report that Sony is asking game studios to prepare their titles for the PS5 Pro console by adding ray tracing.
