In Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (2011), the dark post-credits scene was restored
It had been known for a long time that such a scene existed in the game, but no one wanted to undertake its restoration. But an enthusiast was still found.

Initially, in the ending of MW3, Captain Price eliminates the main villain of the trilogy, Vladimir Makarov, by hanging him from a rope. Price then lights a cigar, and that's the end of it. But in a deleted scene, the character opens his eyes again and sees a mysterious man in a suit not far from him, who, after inspecting the battlefield, leaves. Price then drops his cigar and his vision goes dark and he probably loses consciousness. Next, players are shown photos of the heroes who died throughout the trilogy, including Soap and Ghost.

The deleted scene was restored by user yoyo1love. The MW3 files indicate that the unknown person from the deleted ending is named "shadowman" and "ominous stranger". A number of gamers believe that this is not a person at all, but the personification of Death, who came for Captain Price.
