The sequel of the film adaptation of the game Super Mario received the release date

Shigeru Miyamoto, the creator of the franchise, spoke about this himself.

So, the cartoon will be released in theaters on April 24, 2026. Chris Pratt (Guardians of the Galaxy, Jurassic World) and Charlie Day (Pacific Rim, Horrible Bosses) should return to voice the two main characters Mario and Luigi. The film is being developed by Illumination studio (Despicable Me, Minions).



The Super Mario Bros. Movie was released in 2023 and, with a budget of $100 million, grossed over $1.3 billion, making it the highest-grossing video game adaptation in history and the second highest-grossing animated film of all time (Frozen II 2019).
