The 8-episode Terminator Zero project will tell an alternative story of the creation of artificial intelligence SkyNet, and the action will take place in Japan.
The video shows two timelines: before Judgment Day and after, where humanity is at war with machines. The main character of the story, instead of Sarah Connor, will be the scientist Malcolm Lee, who will be hunted by a cyborg from the future. A girl from the Resistance will arrive to defend the character from 2022.
The studio Production I.G., known for the anime “Ghost in the Shell,” is working on the project. All episodes will be available on Netflix on August 29.
