A new version of the iconic car, known from the Back to the Future films, is being developed by Lynx Motors.
The DeLorean DMC-EV will get a carbon fiber steering wheel, a full-width dashboard display, and wireless charging on the center console.
The all-wheel drive electric car will be powered by four electric motors with a total output of 600 hp. Acceleration to 100 km/h will be four seconds. Power will be provided by a CATL battery with a capacity of 70 kWh. On a single charge, the electric car will be able to travel up to 400 km.
The DeLorean DMC-EV will get a futuristic appearance with a completely closed radiator grille, LED headlights, and a modernized lower part of the body. Pre-orders for the electric car will be available in 2025. The cost will be almost $250 thousand.
