According to insider Tyler McVicker, Valve is developing a project under the working title HLX. According to him, this will be a full-fledged Half-Life threequel with Gordon Freeman as the protagonist.
The game's development began in 2021. The shooter will feature procedural generation of levels, which will be impressively large and open for exploration by the player. In addition, McVicker said that hand-to-hand combat and an asymmetrical multiplayer mode will be added to the game.
