China's National Intellectual Property Administration has registered a patent for Xiaomi's triple 'clamshell' phone

The images contained in the documentation allow us to evaluate the design of the future device.

The smartphone with three segments and two hinges will have flat edges of the case and a horizontal camera block with three sensors. Apparently, two segments can be folded in the same way as in conventional folding devices, while the third segment will remain outside.






The technical specifications of the device are not specified in the patent documentation: the document only sheds light on the appearance and design features of the device. The release date and cost of the smartphone are unknown, since Xiaomi has not even announced the smartphone yet.
