Experts from the iFixit website disassembled the smartphone and discovered a technologically advanced design solution.
In the new basic iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro, the manufacturer for the first time in history used electrically activated glue to secure the battery. It is impossible to disconnect such a battery in the usual way without causing damage.
To remove the battery from the case, you will need to connect it to two terminals and supply electricity for several seconds. To do this, specialists used 20 V electricity, the disconnection occurred in 5 seconds, after which the battery simply falls out of the case even under the influence of gravity.
To reinstall the battery, you only need to press it slightly into the case. Over time, the time for disconnection may increase, but the procedure itself will be the same.
