The famous Hollywood actor said that he will sue those who present his image using AI, deepfakes and other similar technologies.

Downey spoke about his intentions in the On With Kara Swisher podcast. The actor is going to sue all filmmakers who want to create and use his digital copy for filming. At the same time, even in the event of his death, there is a plan according to which his lawyers will not allow this to happen and will go to court.

Disputes over the use of digital images in modern cinema are not uncommon. For example, Disney has already been sued for using the appearance of the late actor Peter Cushing in the sci-fi action film Rogue One in the Star Wars universe.

Robert Downey Jr. himself became famous for his role as Tony Stark/Iron Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He recently received an Oscar for his supporting role in Christopher Nolan's Oppenheimer. His return to the MCU has also been announced, but in a different role – the supervillain Doctor Doom.
