Owners of PCs with Windows 7, 8 and 8.1 will have to update to have access to the Valve game store.
Officially, Steam support on older versions of Windows ended on January 1, 2024, but Valve gave users time to update their operating systems. The store application update from November 5 no longer supports the above-mentioned systems.
Due to the update, gamers with Windows 7, 8 and 8.1 will not be able to take advantage of the new features of the application, for example, the ability to record gameplay. Also, the correct operation of the store on older operating systems is not guaranteed. Owners of Windows 10 do not have to worry for now, but support for this system will end on October 14 next year.
