Before the start of closed testing of the next part of Battlefield, the developers from DICE shared important details of the game. The main focus of the new shooter is on optimizing servers with a tick rate of 60 Hz, which will improve control responsiveness, shooting accuracy and enemy display.

The updated shooting system will reduce the delay when firing, and the recoil mechanics will become more natural - the type of weapon will affect the feeling of shooting. In addition, the developers updated the movement system, returning crouch running, somersaulting when landing and the ability to peek out from behind cover, which should make the gameplay more dynamic.
While the project is at the pre-alpha stage, insiders suggest that the release will take place in the fall of 2025 on PC and consoles.
