Freedom behind the wheel starts where the pavement ends, and OTR 2 invites you to explore a large open world with many kinds of vehicles. You can switch from trucks and rugged 4x4s to sports cars, boats, helicopters, and planes, choosing routes across highways, hills, rough trails, and water. The world does not force one path: you can take on missions, handle deliveries, or simply leave the road and look for places hidden away from the main routes. Driving becomes more deliberate on uneven ground, where throttle and direction matter more than simply holding forward. The vehicles feel like tools in one big garage, each giving the map a different shape. Visual and performance customization lets you tune a favorite machine, while the day and night cycle changes the mood of familiar roads. Online multiplayer also makes it possible to share races or free-roaming trips with other players.
