The company has presented two smartwatch models with One UI Watch shell based on Wear OS 3 instead of the previous Tizen OS. Most of the characteristics were known from early announcements, some details are worth dwelling on.

The fourth generation of gadgets, in addition to the new software platform, received another hardware basis in the form of the previously presented Exynos W920 SoC with a 5-nanometer process technology, a 2-core CPU (Cortex-A55) and a Mali-G68 GPU. The autonomy of the devices is 40 hours from a single charge. The watch screens have an Always-on Display function, and their resolution has increased to 396 × 396 pixels on compact models and up to 450 × 450 on large ones. All displays have a pixel density of 330 ppi.
A new feature in the Galaxy Watch4 will be BioActive Sensor, which uses all of the device's sensors. With its help, it will be possible to measure the pulse, take an electrocardiogram and conduct bioimpedansometry. In addition, diagnostics of blood pressure, blood oxygen saturation and measurement of other body parameters will become available to users.
Wear OS 3 will provide wearers with all the functionality they need to partake in this system. At the same time, Google has updated some of the standard programs, changing the interface in accordance with the design of Material You. Google will also delight those who value contactless payments: the Pay service for smartwatches on Wear OS is now available in a dozen countries, including Ukraine. Other highlights include the updated YouTube Music app and third-party support for Tiles.
