The YouTube video hosting service has created several features that will help make it easier to find the videos you want among the huge amount of other video content.
Now the user will be able to see the chapters of the video right in the search results. This is intended to simplify the transition to that part of the video that can potentially be useful to the user. Previously, to do this, you had to open the video and navigate through the sections to get to the required fragment.
In addition, the hosting is implementing a preview option in the search results on mobile devices. This feature will allow you to familiarize yourself with a short excerpt before full viewing.
Another innovation will be showing videos in search results with automatically translated subtitles, titles and descriptions. This will allow users to find content more efficiently in their language. Initially, the feature will be available only for English, however work on other languages is also planned.
The last option being developed is the ability to add links to sites and "other formats" from the Google search engine to the YouTube search results. At the moment, the function is only available for mobile devices in India and Indonesia, however, it is stated that it is likely to be extended to other countries.
