Dutch video game developer Guerilla Games has announced a new release date for Horizon: Forbidden West. The company also released a patch for Zero Down on PlayStation 5 - now the game will run at 60 FPS.
The sequel was originally supposed to see the light of day before the end of this year. However, it was only in August that the development reached the home stretch, so the team decided to play it safe and spend more time fine-tuning the project. Forbidden West will now be released on February 18, 2022.
Pre-orders of the potential hit will start on September 2 on the PS Store. The game will be available on consoles not only the current generation PS5, but also on PS4 consoles. In May, Sony showed off 14 minutes of gameplay during the Stay of Play event with developer notes.
As of patch 1.53 for the original, in addition to optimizations on the PlayStation 5, it fixes some performance issues. The add-on is currently available for download.
