Earlier leaks about the release of the Snapdragon Wear 5100 mobile platform are overgrown with details. So, it became known that the chip will not have any fundamental differences from the previous solution in technical terms.
According to the information resource WinFuture, Snapdragon 5100 will acquire ARM Cortex-A52 cores instead of the more powerful and previously assumed A73. Experts believe that the manufacturer will not switch to a 5-nanometer process technology, and this may negatively affect the energy efficiency and power of the new chip.
In addition, information has surfaced that the mobile platform is being tested to work in combination with 1/2 GB of RAM and 8 or 16 GB of built-in storage. Qualcomm is also considering the possibility of connecting 5 and 16 MP camera sensors to the chipset. It is assumed that the release of the device will be dealt with by Samsung.
