LG Electronics presented a line of TV panels based on the MicroLED technology solution. The series was named Extreme Home Cinema. The lineup consists of 81-325" TVs equipped with Direct View LED (DVLED) backlighting.
TVs use formats from HD to 8K, while devices can have the same diagonal, but different resolutions. This became possible thanks to the DVLED technology, in which a different number of LEDs with a size of 0.9-1.5 millimeters can be used in the matrix. For example, the largest 325" 8K model has 33 million LEDs x 0.9 mm. The panel measures 720x405 cm.
In turn, the most budget model for home multimedia equipment has a 108-inch display, HD-resolution and a 1.2 mm LED. The bulk of the line's devices have the classic aspect ratio of 16:9, but the Ultra Stretch version with a 32:9 configuration will also be available to buyers, which allows displaying three different pictures on the screen.
LG does not name the exact cost of the new panels. The formation of the price tag is due to various parameters, functionality and equipment, as well as additional options. However, the starting price of the devices is expected to start at $30,000. Curiously, the manufacturer has already received several orders for the 325-inch model.
