The Crew Dragon has successfully returned to Earth. For the first time, the crew of a SpaceX ship consisted of only civilians. The flight ended with a landing in the Atlantic Ocean - previously, the capsules returned only to the surface of the Pacific Ocean.
The flight took place at an altitude of 575 km and lasted three days, during which the crew received instructions from the control center, and also studied the Earth through a special transparent dome.
The rocket was launched on September 16 from the LC-39A cosmodrome of the D.F. Kennedy. The team consisted of four people: the creator and CEO of Shift4 Payments Jared Isaacman, veteran of the United States Air Force Christopher Sembroski, researcher and educator Sian Proctor and medic Hayley Arsenox. The return of the crew took place on September 19, Moscow time.
