Google announced that some of the features from the new Pixel 6 will be available for past generations of devices. The manufacturer will try to implement as many useful options as possible, but this will take time.
Google noted that functionality from new smartphones will require hardware matching of devices. Nevertheless, despite the lack of a proprietary Tensor processor, several chips will still be available for older devices.
One of the features that are definitely going to be implemented in the "pixels" of previous generations is Live Translate. This option allows you to translate videos and messages in real time right on your smartphone. It takes some time to adapt the program, since the initial version of the translator was created specifically for the capabilities of the Tensor chip.
Google plans to migrate other features to older models, but the full list has not yet been disclosed.
