SpaceX is rapidly working on Starlink satellite internet. At a recent FCC event, the corporation announced 140,000 active users from over twenty countries. In August, the number of customers was at around one hundred thousand from 14 countries, then at the MWC event Elon Musk announced plans to attract another half a million users over the next year. At the moment, SpaceX already has over 750 thousand applications for connecting the service around the globe. The problem of growing the number of subscribers can only be a shortage of semiconductor materials; the Starlink website already has a message about possible supply interruptions.
In October, Starlink moved out of beta testing, and now more than a hundred thousand people use the Internet. Last week, the company presented the 2nd generation of satellite dishes, and on November 13, SpaceX sent 53 more satellites of the Starlink Group 4-1 mission into orbit - since 2018, it has launched 1,844 vehicles. The speed in the Starlink system is in the range of 100-400 Mbit/s, but in the future it is planned to reach 10 Gbit /s.
At the same time, Starlink is adding to the list of its corporate clients - they have already signed partnership agreements with such giants as Google and Microsoft. Also, apparently, the company is working on equipping satellite dishes for charging stations for Tesla Supercharger electric vehicles, since a similar object has already been seen in Florida. Probably, in this way the company wants to make satellite Internet another advantage for owners of electric cars using Tesla charging stations.
