The upcoming Xiaomi 12 Pro smartphone will receive a new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. Earlier, the company announced an efficient heat dissipation system.

The flagship, according to the manufacturer, has an evaporation chamber with an area of 2,900 square mm, which allows it to cope with heat efficiently. However, judging by the first indicators of stress tests, Xiaomi was unable to cope with the problem of temperature rise under heavy loads.

The test results of the Xiaomi 12 Pro show that the device almost immediately drops the GPU performance by more than 40%. After some time, the parameter is kept at around 60% of the maximum. On average, the performance is 211 GIPS, which is even less than the previous flagship model of the Chinese brand Mi11 with the Snapdragon 888 chipset on board.

Tech bloggers who have tested the Xiaomi 12 Pro talk about fps drops in heavy games after 15-30 minutes of launch. The average value of the number of frames per second, depending on the game or application, is 51-53, while the body of the device heats up to 43-44.4 degrees. Such indicators do not allow playing games for a long time at maximum performance.

Coming soon Motorola Moto Edge X30, which has an identical platform, also showed not the best test results at maximum performance.
