Pixel 6a will get stripped-down camera functionality
The Pixel 6a smartphone is due to be presented at the Google I/O conference in May, so the Internet is flooded with rumors about its technical characteristics. So, recently it became known how the device is doing with photo and video capabilities.

In addition to the number of modules, the budget version of the device will differ from the standard device in the absence of a useful function responsible for creating dynamic shots. We are talking about the Motion Mode option, with the help of which a series of frames is glued together using artificial intelligence algorithms. The result is a blurred background in the photo while maintaining the clarity of the central object. Google showed examples of photos using this feature in a promo video.

The absence of Motion Mode in the proprietary firmware code was noticed by the developer Cuba Wojciechowski. The fact that the option will not be on the budget Pixel is likely due to the fact that the smartphone uses relatively outdated camera sensors that were used in the Pixel 5a.

Most likely, the new model will receive a dual main camera with a main 12.2-megapixel module and an additional 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle module. The device will work on the Tensor GS101 platform of Google's own development, as well as the flagship devices of the line. Whether the camera will receive any more restrictions is unknown. The smartphone should go on sale in July.
