A teardown video of the new MacBook Air 2022 with the proprietary M2 chipset has been released on the Max Tech YouTube channel. The insides of the laptop are shown in all its glory, and now the owner of this device can easily replace some of the parts.
The layout of the laptop, unlike models of previous generations, has received some changes. So, the laptop speakers were placed near the hinges, most of the connectors are now made in the form of separate components with their own screw fastening. Thus ports can be replaced with ease. In addition, the adhesive for fixing the batteries has been replaced with neat tabs, which can also be quickly removed.
The motherboard occupied the internal space of the laptop to a minimum. The heat dissipation system looks like a thin metal plate with thermal pads, there is no fan.
The new compact laptop is available for purchase in the $1199-2499 price range, depending on the desired memory option.
