A new device from a Chinese company is about to be officially unveiled. In the meantime, Xiaomi has released a teaser revealing one of the main features of the smartphone. So, along with impressive technical characteristics, the device will receive a record thin case for the category of folding devices.
Xiaomi says the Mix Fold 2 will be 5.4mm thick when unfolded, which is not much bigger than a USB Type-C port. This is almost 2 mm less than the previous model of the line, in which this parameter was equal to 7.62 mm. It is reported that the smartphone will get a specially designed hinge, which will provide a minimum gap between the two halves of the device. Due to it, the weight of the device will also be reduced.
On another presented teaser, you can see the back of the case, which will house the main camera with three modules and two separate LED flashes. It is known that the camera will receive Leica functionality.
A 4000-4500 mAh battery will be responsible for the autonomy of the smartphone, which, with such a thin body, can be considered an outstanding indicator. Apparently, the operating time of the device will be approximately the same as that of the first model of the series. It is assumed that the device will work on the basis of the flagship processor from Qualcomm, the amount of RAM in the maximum configuration will reach 12 GB.
