Popular video hosting, according to rumors, has been developing a new feature "App Store" for a long time. It will provide an opportunity to purchase a subscription to a number of well-known streaming.
Presumably, streaming services such as Netflix, HBO Max, Amazon Prime, Hulu, etc. will move to YouTube. Thus, video hosting will collect a database of video services in one place and will be able to restream available films, series and other content to its own audience. For example, users will be able to watch Amazon Prime's The Boys or Netflix's Stranger Things without going directly to the streaming service.
Apparently, YouTube intends to receive income from advertising or from interest from streaming platforms. Streaming itself will benefit from audience acquisition as YouTube has 2 billion monthly active users. The Channel Store is likely to be available this fall in the US. Whether viewers from other countries will be able to use this feature is unknown.
