Specialists from the University of Helsinki conducted an interesting study, as a result of which they found out that the brains of the players are synchronized during the game. Interestingly, this phenomenon occurs even when gamers are in different rooms.
In the course of the work, Finnish scientists analyzed the electrical voltages in the heads of several pairs of people playing a racing simulator. For the purity of the experiment, people were placed in soundproof rooms. At the end of the experiment, it turned out that the brain neurons of gamers are synchronized like when people communicate face to face. Researchers believe that this contributes to increased empathy and better interaction in society.
In addition, the Finns were able to learn that such synchronization improves productivity in games. They note that online interaction helps the basic mechanisms of empathy and improves offline communication.
