One of the oldest myths about Silent Hill 2 is destroyed
Not so long ago, the announcement of a remake of Silent Hill 2 took place. The developers provided an updated look for the main character of the game, James Sunderland. Not everyone liked it, so the authors grabbed a lot of hate in their direction. To curb the ardor of fans, one of the artists of the original and remake, Masahiro Ito, decided to dispel one fan myth.

The second part of the cult survival horror is covered with numerous myths. One of them concerns the opening screensaver. In it, the protagonist looks into a mirror, and the area around the hero's eyes is shrouded in shadow due to poor lighting. For many years, gamers believed that Sunderland looked in the mirror not at himself, but at the player. This was allegedly seen after twisting the brightness of the picture to the maximum. An example of such an image is available on the Reddit portal.

Masahiro Ito, in turn, decided to turn up the brightness even more. As a result, it became clear that the hero still looks at himself. Ito shared the picture and commentary on his Twitter page.
