On the Chinese platform BiliBili, a video review of the engineering version of the Intel Core i5-13500 was released. The novelty, which has not yet gone on sale, has demonstrated a significant increase in performance compared to the previous generation chip model.
According to the source, the Intel Core i5-13500 has a layout of 6 high-performance and 8 power-efficient cores. The more powerful i5-13600K processor has the same configuration, which was the reason for a significant improvement compared to the previous generation i5-12500 chip. In tests, the new processor was overclocked to 4.9 GHz in single-threaded modes, up to 4.4 GHz on productive cores and up to 3.4 GHz on energy-efficient ones.
In the Cinebench R23 benchmark, the chip was able to score 19891 in a multi-threaded scenario, a 56% improvement over the Core i5-12500. When tested in the CPU-Z utility, the new model performed better than its predecessor by 61% (8222 points). At the same time, in single-threaded mode in Cinebench R23, the novelty scored 1901 points, which does not look so impressive, since the Core i5-12500 was able to achieve a result of 1736 points, which is only 9% less.
The cost and start date of Intel Core i5-13500 sales are still unknown.
