A popular tech blogger chose the best smartphones of 2022 according to his own version
Every year, blogger Marques Brownlee sums up the results of the year as part of his own author's Smartphone Awards. This year's award winners may surprise you as Apple's flagships have suddenly lost their lead.
Traditionally, there are several nominations for the awards.
The model with a large screen of 6.8", according to the blogger, rationally uses the capabilities of its display, coupled with a stylus and software. The reviewer also noted ASUS ROG Phone 6 for front speakers with stereo sound and Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 for ergonomics when folded.
A compact smartphone with a screen of 5.9" has slightly larger dimensions than last year's winner in the face of the iPhone 13 mini. However, this did not stop him from excelling.
The smartphone from Apple, according to the blogger, has a fast loading of the camera application, good shooting speed, high accuracy of all sensors, and excellent video quality.
The 6000 mAh battery, which supports 65 W fast wired charging, allowed the gaming smartphone to excel in this nomination.
The device from the new brand founded by OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei was liked by the reviewer thanks to the rear panel with customizable LEDs.
The so-called “top for the money” was the Google Pixel 7. Brownlee noted that the smartphone is the best in its price segment ($599), moreover, in terms of technical characteristics, it looks more successful than a number of more premium flagship devices.
The smartphone scored with a minus sign due to the inflated price tag and unjustified user expectations.
Google Pixel 7 took the main award. The blogger notes its excellent camera, high-quality screen and reasonable price. Brownlee also noted ASUS Zenfone 9 and Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, which can conditionally be put on the second and third steps of the podium in this nomination.
