Apple launches classical music streaming

The company says that the streaming service's library will include more than 5 million audio tracks, many exclusive albums and editorial notes from the authors themselves, biographical articles, descriptions of the main compositions and other interesting materials. The maximum sound quality of music will be 192 kHz/24 bit (Hi-Res). Access to the service library will open on March 28. Users with a subscription to Apple Music will be able to use the platform for free.

It is noted that the service will be available exclusively on the iPhone and territories of countries in which there is an Apple Music subscription. There will be no separate iPad client.

Music Classical was announced in 2021 after Apple acquired Primephonic. At that time, the Cupertino team expected to present streaming before the end of 2022, but they missed the deadline a little.
