An update to the messenger client for Windows OS has improved performance, improved group calling functionality, and improved performance.
The updated version of the program provides support for group video calls with end-to-end encryption. The maximum number of conference participants in audio format has increased to 32 users. The developers say that these limits will continue to increase in the future.
The second important aspect of the update was performance improvement. This was done by switching from a more energy-intensive Electron framework to a more nimble one. The update will also introduce two community-related features, one that will allow admins to view all group membership requests on the Pending Members screen, and the other will allow admins to view public groups in search results by contact name.
