The Starship is ready for its debut operational launch from a launch pad in Texas. In honor of this, the company shared an animated video with a flight plan to the Red Planet.
The video shows the main stages of the expedition. According to the plan, at the beginning, a tanker will be sent into Earth orbit, capable of replenishing the starship's fuel reserves after it leaves the Earth's atmosphere. Next, Starship will head for Mars. Elon Musk plans to set up a base on the planet to house future settlers.
The second half of the video acts as a forecast, showing structures already built on the surface of Mars, including landing pads for incoming spacecraft. The test flight of Starship is due on April 17th. This will happen if Starship receives the appropriate license from the regulators by that time.
