There will be many more cinematic adaptations of famous video games. Not the last role in this was played by the success of the cartoon based on Super Mario.
So, Sony intends to release about ten tapes based on their games. This was told by the head of PlayStation Productions Asad Kizilbash on the PlayStation podcast. One of the adaptations will become an animated film. Kizilbash decided not to go into details about the projects.
At the moment, Sony has made announcements of series on such titles as Horizon Zero Dawn, God of War and Twisted Metal. In addition, a film based on Ghost of Tsushima is in the works, it will have to be directed by John Wick director Chad Stahelski. A film based on the racing simulator Gran Turismo has been shot and directed by Neil Blommpkamp (District 9, Elysium, Chappie the Robot).
What games from Sony will be filmed in the future is still unknown. But some users have suggested that films based on the titles Days Gone, Jack & Daxter, Gravity Rush and Sly Cooper will appear on the screens, the film adaptation of the last game was canceled, but it may well see the light of day.
