The authors of the board game based on the popular tactical shooter demand additional funds for the release of the game, although the players have already supported the project through crowdfunding.

The board game was named 6: Siege. In it, participants are invited to divide into two squads of operatives, one of which will defend the location, and the second will attack. The kit promised figurines of fighters, 3D buildings, expansions, the map itself.

The crowdfunding campaign on the Kickstarter site started in 2021. There were three editions of the game to choose from: the regular edition for $69, the extended edition for $199, and the premium edition for $269. The premium version included, among other things, 5-year support for expansions, even more operatives and buildings, a laser pointer and other goodies.

But covid times have knocked down the Mythic Games studio and increased the cost of producing the product. In their message, the developers state that the initially raised money will not be enough to cover the entire budget.

Those who want to get the game still need to pay, and quite a lot. So, for the standard edition, an additional payment of $39 will be required, for the extended edition - $99, and for the premium version - $129.

Such a case is not the first in the history of Mythic Games. Previously, developers have increased the cost of releasing a board game based on the role-playing game Darkest Dungeon. At the same time, the creators lost 20% of their customers. The same outcome should be expected in this case.
