The unique device was presented on the Kickstarter site.
The robotic chessboard was developed by Particula. The pieces on it move with the help of magnets in accordance with the moves made by the opponents. This happens remotely using Lichness or Chess.com platforms.
At first glance, the board is no different from other similar boards. However, under its translucent surface is a large number of wheeled robots. Online opponents can participate in matches on a PC or mobile device - they do not have to have this technological board. If the pieces are moved manually, then the magnet in each piece will be tracked by the sensors on the board. The system reads the movement data and broadcasts it to the opponent via the Internet.
GoChess also features an AI game mode with three dozen difficulty levels. The board also supports the mode of solving chess puzzles and makes it possible to view the moves from the famous confrontations between grandmasters. The mobile application monitors the player's moves and can make recommendations.
The starting price tag of an unusual device is $259.
