Director Chad Stahelski (John Wick quadrology) in a conversation with Screen Rant shared information about the work process of creating the action film Ghost of Tsushima, a film adaptation of the action film of the same name. He said that the film crew is ready to start filming. The start is hampered by the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike.
Stahelski also said that in the near future he will be focused on only two projects - a remake of Highlander starring Henry Cavill and Ghosts of Tsushima. The director calls the plot of the film adaptation of the game one of his favorite stories.
The announcement of the film adaptation of Ghost of Tsushima took place in March 2021. The project is being developed by 87Eleven Entertainment and PlayStation Productions. Development studio Sucker Punch Productions is also involved in the production. The script was written by Takashi Doscher (“Only”). It is known that the film will be shot entirely in Japanese.
