It looks quite impressive.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl Update 2.0 is being developed on the X-Ray Engine, which is already 20 years old. But thanks to the modifications, the author of the mod was able to achieve high-quality visuals. The developer notes that the vegetation in the frames is not presented in the final version, and a number of textures need improvement.
It is curious that the author calls not to consider his work a remaster: the project will not only have improved graphics, but also some changes in game mechanics. Upon completion of development of Shadow of Chernobyl Update 2.0, the author plans to release his original game on a more modern engine. The release date for SoC Update 2.0 is still unknown.
