RoboCop: Rogue City compared to the original film
In the comparison video you can see an impressive number of references to Paul Verhoeven’s film.

Although Rogue City is not a literal game adaptation of the famous 1987 sci-fi action film or its sequel, there are many direct quotes in the game that refer to the films. So, there is a moment of a glitch of the robot ED-209, which mistakenly shot an employee of the OCP corporation in front of his colleagues, but here a policeman dies in a similar way. RoboCop also deftly handles a pistol, twirling it in a cowboy style, and the creators take a close-up shot of the hero several times with the camera panning from bottom to top.

Rogue City was released on November 3. The game received good, but rather restrained ratings from critics. But the players highly appreciated the project: on Steam, the shooter now has 92% positive reviews. This reception was probably influenced by the popularity of the films and the lack of games in the franchise over the years: the last major RoboCop game came out decades ago.
