According to Deadline, actress Emma Myers, who gained popularity thanks to the Wednesday series, will join the cast of a film based on Minecraft. In addition to her and Jason Momoa (Aquaman), Daniel Brooks (Peacemaker) and Sebastian Eugene Hansen (Mozart in the Jungle) will appear in the film.
Plot details of the film have not yet been disclosed. The director's chair will be taken by Jared Hess (Napoleon Dynamite, Instigators). The film's producers include Lydia Winters and Wu Bui from Mojang, which develops Minecraft.
