According to the developers, compared to other similar products, Gorilla Armor reduces glare by 75%. This ensures increased readability and image quality in almost any lighting level.
To measure resistance to mechanical stress, the company conducted Scratch Bot tests designed to simulate the everyday scenario of using a mobile device. Based on the test results, experts found no visible damage. They concluded that Gorilla Armor is more than 4 times more resistant to scratches and other damage compared to other (unspecified) aluminosilicate products.
In addition, Corning notes that the new glass consists of 25% recycled materials, which is confirmed by UL Solutions certification. At the moment, the latest Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra has Gorilla Armor glass. Which other smartphones will receive it will become known in the near future.
