Marvel has officially announced the project. The video shows a visual of the project and even some gameplay footage.
Marvel Rivals will be a third-person shooter. Players will have the opportunity to take control of famous superheroes and supervillains from the popular comic book universe. Each of the characters will have their own superpowers and skills. For example, Iron Man will use the capabilities of his suit, including lasers from his hands, and Loki will be able to teleport. The heroes will also be able to combine their abilities: for example, the Hulk will be able to charge the armor of the same Iron Man, and the Rocket Raccoon will ride astride Groot. It is worth noting that the number of available characters and locations will be replenished in seasonal updates.
The game page is already on Steam. Closed alpha tests will begin in May. The full release date for the project has not yet been announced.
